Uploading From a Phone vs. a Computer: What's Actually Different

The upload process looks a little different depending on the device, though the end result is identical either way. Here's what actually changes.

On a Phone

Uploads usually pull straight from your camera roll or downloads folder, tapping the upload button hands you a familiar photo/file picker. It's quick, especially for something you just took a picture of.

On a Computer

Drag-and-drop tends to be the faster route here, dragging a file straight from a folder onto the upload area skips a few clicks compared to browsing for it manually.

What Doesn't Change

File size limits, link generation, password protection, all of it works identically no matter which device did the uploading. The link you get back behaves the same way regardless.

Bottom Line

Use whichever's in your hand at the moment, there's no real advantage to waiting until you're at a computer if your phone already has the file ready to go.
